Mom's been at it again

I love my mother's photography. We have the same love for texture, shapes, photojournalism, and color but we differ in the fact that she enjoys wildlife and landscape much more than I. I don't have the patience for wildlife, other than children, which can sometimes be catagorized in the same. And unless it's moving around, I'm not interested, so landscape is really not as fun to me. But as you can see, she has the love and the passion for it. Remember, her fine art fences exhibition are still for sale at the studio.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs. Rushing!!!!!

What a wedding! Pam and Troy, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day. Pam Natyshok and Troy Rushing were married this weekend. It was special for so many reasons. First, I met two truly kind and loving people that seriously made me cry. Pam approached me while I was working and told me something I never expected to hear. Thank you Pam, your words really meant something to me. The second reason I felt close to their wedding was, it was in the church I grew up in at St. Mary's in Herrin IL. I went to school at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel and wonderful loving memories came flooding back to me by being in the church again. Look through wedding moments for some of the images of their wedding. I loved every moment of it. What a beautiful day it was!

Play a "Game"

Maybe you're at Panera Bread with your laptop and you are waiting for someone who will be an hour late. Not that this ever happens huh? Try this. It's an addicting little game that passes time.

Meet Stylist Tina Sellers

Meet Tina Sellers, stylist at Tangles and Toes in Murphysboro Il. I have had numerous brides ask me where they should consider getting their hair done for their wedding day. I have to say, I've worked next to Tina for several weddings now. Tina has a talent! Her updo's are works of art. I have not witnessed one person who wasn't thrilled about their style. As a photographer, I'm with the bride and her bridal party all day and into the evening. At the end of the night, the girls still look fabulous. I believe in Tina and her work ethic very much. So brides, listen up! Meet with Tina if you are considering a professional who is very talented and dependable.

Cheerleading Buddies

Meet Sammie and Meagan. Sammie and Meagan had a ball jumping around in the studio showing some "school pride" in their uniforms. You should see their impersonation of the Texas cheerleaders on the reality show. Cheerleading faces everyone!!!!! Funny stuff!
I had to get in on the action and do a few really sloppy cheer jumps from my cheering days. Only as a, "do this kinda jump thingy" for the camera. The toe touch was way out of the question. These girls have been friends for a long time and enjoy each others company very much. Remember those school friends we had? Gosh, I love reminising.

Meet Taylor Reichert. My husband Kevin's little pride and joy. Taylor has been my main model for years now. She's VERY comfortable in front of the camera. Taylor is my stepdaughter and my little friend. She gave me a make over this weekend. She fixed my hair, painted my toe nails, and applied A LOT of facial gook. I had pig tails and bows in my hair. Kevin walked in the room and laughed hysterically over my transformation. It's fun watching her grow and become independant. I've mentioned before her interest in English riding. She's also quite the singer, too. Wow, we love teaching her and helping her to succeed. And that she will do!

Jessie Russell "The Story of Me"

This is precious little Jessie Russell. I was lucky enough to shoot these fine art black and white images of Jessie in her home. Take a glance at her very own "story of me". Jessie loves her blankie and her Coo Coo's. Coo's Coo's are really M&M's but we won't tell her that. I'm even calling M&M's Coo Coo's now! http://www.imaginephotography.us/russell

A fine art album such as this of your child, wedding, pet etc. is a must have on your coffee table.

Mileur/Gremmell Wedding Album

http://www.imaginephotography.us/mileur

Click here to view Kathy and Josh's custom made wedding album.

My previous blog mentioned how in 2006 we would become a studio that believes custom made books and albums are the up and coming hottest trend in portrait and wedding photography. Here's an example of one of our custom designed wedding albums.

2006 Coffee Table Books

Wow, time really flies huh? We have been thinking about our business and what we would like to achieve in 2006. I've gotten a real insight into what I want to focus on this year after some great feedback at the Immanuel Luthern School benefit. So many people approached us and commented on the albums we have incorporated into our photography. I love working with the images I've taken and using them to create fine art albums that families are astonished by. For 2006, I feel our custom made albums will be one of the most unique and individualistic aspects of our business. Albums are NOT just for weddings. Custom made books with images on the covers are fine art coffee table books - and what a great way to have the wonderful memories in your life at your fingertips. You simply must see what we are doing with these books. We know you will love them as much as we do.

Mom's interview WSIU

Well you know in the blog prior when I told you mom was being interviewed about her part of the "Between Fences exhibit" at the General John A. Logan Museum? Well here she is! And you may also recall that I said I was going to make her nervous by taking pictures of her. Does this look like she's nervous????? I failed miserably in my endeavors. What happened! This is not the norm folks! What's next? Will she be anchoring on FOXNEWS?????

My husband and I

Here we are. Kevin and Sherry. We've been married almost three years now and our life together just gets better and better. I have found a true partner. I hope everyone finds a person with whom they know they have the best friendship they could ever have. We both feel so lucky that we respect each other as we do and know that no matter what, we will be able to count on each other - always. By the way, I'm physically forcing him to take this picture. That is why I am holding his head. Plus, I threatened him. Worked like a charm!
For my birthday surprise Kevin had this image blown up to 24x36 and hung above our bed. What a guy!
